Default Guru Auctions Question - about buying?

Hi

I have a quick question I need help with.

I won an auction on guru 2 days ago, and have emailed the seller twice to set up a time and place to complete the trade - as yet I have heard nothing.

How long must I wait before I consider the deal dead and buy the item I am after elsewhere?

Thanks in advance.

This is all I see in the auction FAQ:

Obligation
Obligation As a buyer, you are obligated to complete the transaction with the seller if you are the highest bidder at the end of an auction (meeting the applicable minimum bid) and your bid is qualified by the seller as a Binding Bid. By bidding on an item you agree to be bound by the conditions of sale included in the item's description so long as those conditions of sale are not in violation of this Agreement or unlawful. Unless you and the seller agree otherwise, you will become the item's owner upon receipt of the item from the seller. Bids are not retractable except in exceptional circumstances, such as: when the seller changes the item's description after you bid; a clear typographical error is made.

Send him one last email and then after that I guess all you can do is downvote him in Feedback and leave a comment explaning that he didn't even make the trade. I don't know if something extra happens if a seller fails completely on a transaction so maybe try and find some sort of mod or site manager and ask what the policy is on that and what to do about it.

Mayhaps he was silly enough to go on vacation while the auction automatically relisted his bid. If that's the case he may contact you and apologize or something. When that happens try and get some sort of severance package from him for not being able to sell you whatever item you wanted in the first place.

I give them a week at least. Cause with so many different time zones playing GW. You may never be on at the same time.

Two days is not much time, especially in summer when people are taking vacations and such.

I have someone in Australia who just won one of my auctions that I'm trying to work out how to get the item to them, it will be a challenge. But at least we're communicating about it. Anyway, it has already been a couple of days.

I have another auction that I won and haven't been able to catch the seller in-game and that has been 4-5 days so far.

Give it time, unless you will die without it.
